Starbucks Set to Close 300 Stores in Canada by March
Posted: 01.18.2021
Three hundred Starbucks coffee shops across Canada will be closed by the end of March.
The Seattle-based company announced its five-year plan last year with response to consumer habit changes during the pandemic.
Starbucks says some locations have already closed last fall and expect to complete the rest of the closures by March.
Instead, the company will be restructuring with new drive through locations and expanding to shops that only deliver or do curbside pick-up.
The first store to be using the new format lunched in Toronto’s financial district.
