The TorontoJobs.ca Recruiting Division is assisting our client in their search for a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager.
This remote role offers the opportunity to manage the financial operations of a family’s wealth and investments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight: Manage daily accounting functions, including financial statement preparation, general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor a small team of accountants, fostering growth and ensuring high performance.
- Tax Compliance and Planning: Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure timely, accurate tax filings and assist in strategic tax planning and reporting.
- Investment Reporting: Oversee accounting for investments across asset classes such as private equity and real estate, ensuring precise tracking of valuations, distributions, and returns.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and liquidity to maintain operational efficiency and financial stability.
- Internal Controls: Develop and enforce financial policies and controls to protect assets and ensure compliance.
- Audit Preparation: Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits of financial statements.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to senior family members to support strategic decisions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: At least 7+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role, ideally within family office or private wealth management settings.
- Licenses/Certifications: CPA designation preferred. Additional certifications (CMA, CFA, CFP) are a plus.
- Skills:
- Expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and investment accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software; Oracle experience is a plus.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling).
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive financial information.
