Since its founding in 1990, Ballet Creole has provided a distinct leadership role and a place for African-Caribbean aesthetics in the performing arts scene of Toronto. It has provided regular dance and drumming classes for adults and children as well as extensive tours of many of Ontario schools. It has also inspired the launch of other dance company’s as well as the careers of many well-known dancers.
